Yesterday we covered exactly why you should be getting very excited about the commercial opportunities made possible by Facebook.

Today we’re going to look more in depth at exactly what is possible when you market your business on Facebook. 

It’s no great surprise that many corporates are now taking social networking very seriously indeed – and so too are politicians interestingly enough!

But what about you and your business?

Whether you’re an affiliate marketer, a one person business, or a large employer, there are are opportunities (many for FREE) that you can utilise via social media.

So let’s get down to business….

What can you do with Facebook that will give you valuable marketing exposure?

Well here are 5 things you can do right away…

1. Create a presence

First of all there’s the size of the the audience to consider, over 400 million registered users, so it would be insane for your company not to have a presence on Facebook.

If you’re a company you can can create a profile here

TIP: Affiliate marketers can just create a normal personal profile like any other Facebook user

2. If you have a website to promote, consider Facebook advertising.

It’s much cheaper than Google and you can target your market with laser precision.

For example if your target market is French women between the ages of 30 and 50 – no problem!

You can even target people on their birthdays!

3. Build up a targeted friends network.

If you’ve ran any kind of business you’ll know that your network of contacts is one of your most valuable assets. Facebook makes building up a large network simple and easy

caution- this needs to done correctly. My ebook covers the process in detail.

4.  Learn about apps.

A well placed app on your website can lead to lots of free referrals from visitors and customers.

If done correctly you can set up a very powerful viral networking machine that will have people shouting from the rooftops about how brilliant your business is.

And referrals don’t come any better than those of happy customers to their trusted friends!

5. Integrate social networks into the fabric of your website

You’ll see on an increasing number of websites that visitors will be able to use thier facebook ID and image to leave feedback etc…

This is an important feature of a website as it can show over time that real people visit the site and value it’s content.

It creates a social proof that “if other people value this information, then maybe as a website visitor, I should too.”
