Part 4: Killer Apps that will Flood your Website with FREE traffic

Posted by admin at April 14, 2010 | Category Free Course

Welcome to Part 4…

Killer Apps that will Flood your website with FREE traffic

If you’ve heard the word App but have never quite understood it’s meaning…

An App is simply an application such as a program or piece of coding that performs a specific function on a specific platform, such as an iphone or Facebook.

We’re going to stick to Facebook Apps on this FREE course.

There are a myriad of FREE apps on websites, and I’m sure many more will appear, that allow you to interact with Facebook from a third party website and vice versa.

A good example is clicking on an app to share a link with your Facebook Friends.

You can see an example of this here

The question you should ask yourself is…

Why would my customers and website visitors want to do this?

It would be great if it’s because they thought your product was great.

But let’s face it, most people have busy lives and this isn’t going to be too high on their priority list.

But what if they had an good incentive to use your app, then lots more people would happily do so.

A good example of this is having affiliate tracking on your site so that if somebody refers a visitor (as an affiliate) they are then rewarded sales commission if the visitor buys something.

This isn’t new technology.

But, let’s suppose you have an app that automatically let’s people post their affiliate link on their Facebook feed, with a comment that recommends your products. Remember this will cost them nothing to do, but they could make something out of it.

And all this can be done in a couple of clicks.

Well in the example I’ve given here  all this is done, and the app even put a relevant image in the post. The code isn’t very complicated if you want to copy it (just right click in the page and view source), and it will work on any clickbank product you want to promote.

But remember the reason why it works is there’s a good incentive for the user to click on the app, rather than any clever code that went into its construction.

The challenge you’ll probably face with your business is…

how can you reward your visitors and customers for using your facebook app?

- rather than how do you get the code to just build a facebook app!

Next time we’ll look at…

Part 5: How to laser target friends in your niche

Posted by admin at April 14, 2010 | Category Free Course

Welcome to Part 5…

How to laser target friends in your niche

During this FREE course we’ll be building up a targeted Friends list in Facebook.

But before you can add any Friends you need to know which ones to add.

So in this part  we’ll be exploring the targeting, which is really quite simple.

Let’s start with this fact….

There’s no point having lots of Facebook friends if they aren’t the right ones.

For example if your business is in car valeting there’s not going to be too much commercial reward in having 5000 Facebook friends that are into beauty products!

So when acquiring Facebook friends it’s important to make sure you’re making friends with the right people.

Think of it as an extension of your business network where you can connect and market your business to like minded individuals.

It’s my opinion that it’s also important to distinguish between your normal Social Friends and Facebook Friends. If you think of Facebook as a personal marketing tool, then the target audience doesn’t really want to hear the intimate details of your personal life (at least let’s hope not anyway!)

And conversely your “real life” social friends may not be your freinds for too much longer if you’re marketing to them!

So it’s often a good idea to have a couple of accounts.

One to talk to your regular friends, and one to network for business.

So once you’ve set up a business profile yourself that contains your business interests (which should match the niches you operate within)  you just need to find and join the right groups.

Once again these should be groups that reflect your business’s customer base.

One great feature of Facebook is that you’ll be able to see how popular a group is before you join it, so the groups with larger numbers are always going to have more marketing potential.

If you’re unsure on how to target and join groups, I cover the whole process end to end (with easy to follow screenshots!)  in my eBook.

If you’d like a copy, just click here to download it now.

Tomorrow in part 6, we’ll be covering how to grow your friends list.

ONE LAST TIP: don’t post junk on your Facebook wall!

Put useful and helpful information on there, and your Facebook friends will want to read your posts.

Part 6: The Secret of Rapidly Growing Your Friends List

Posted by admin at April 14, 2010 | Category Free Course

Welcome to Part 6!

Yesterday we discussed the importance of only adding friends that are targeted.

Today we’re going to learn the secret of adding lots of friends so that you’ll soon have thousands of them!

Now there’s no point in inviting lots of Facebook users to become your friend if most of them say No.

That would be a complete waste of your time!

So you need to know the secret of making new friends on Facebook!

and this is…

Always introduce yourself when adding a new friend – and tell someone why you want to be their Facebook friend.

Let’s face it, if a complete stranger knocked on your door asking you to do something and not explaining why – then the chances are you’d say No (or maybe something a little stronger!)

So if you want complete strangers (and let’s not forget potential customers) to accept your Friend’s request then you need to decide what to tell them when introducing yourself.

I suggest you experiment, but if you’re having trouble I cover the whole process of adding friends, with suggested copy to use in my ebook. I also use a method where you only need to type out an introductory friends request message once, saving your fingers from all that typing.

Tomorrow, we’ll be looking at How to write engaging posts for your new friends

Part 7: How to write engaging posts for your new friends

Posted by admin at April 14, 2010 | Category Free Course

Welcome to part 7 – How to write engaging posts for your new friends

So far we’ve looked at how to target and identify our the right Facebook users and then invite them to become your friends.

Once you’ve started adding friends (and don’t forget my Social Network Marketing  ebook explains how to do this with minimal effort if you’re struggling) then it’s time to ask yourself…

“What am I going to post to my new found Facebook Friends”

Well the real question is “What should I definitely NOT post!”

Things to steer clear of are

  • Endlessly posting the same links to your website
  • Just posting “please buy my product”
  • Negative posts or negative comments against other people
  • Telling people what you just ate for dinner!

actually this could could turn into a long list but the big no-no here is just posting links to your sales pages – it’s not going to cut too much ice with your audience!

So what is going to work?

Well a good place to start is by getting yourself a blog and writing some content that’s both relevant to your market and interesting.

Ideally, it’s best if your blog is integrated into your website, so when people come to read the articles they can easily click through to your sales page – and don’t forget any traffic will be FREE!

But if you’re a complete novice, just set up a free blog on blogger.com or wordpress.com (I personally use wordpress) and your blog will be up and running in minutes.

Or if you don’t have a website or your own business, why not review products that you’ve bought online, and earn some affiliate commission.

TIP: only review things that you actually found useful and valuable if you want people to start reading your reviews.

If you don’t know where to start you can find some useful information about clickbank on our affiliates page.

Tomorrow, I have something very exciting for you…

It’s a FREE video all about Facebook Markteing and it has some VERY valuable information that could change your marketing forever!

To watch it all you need to do is click on the video image below and confirm your email address to gain access

Social Media – Where do I start?

Posted by admin at April 8, 2010 | Category Social Network Marketing

Social media  has revolutionized marketing and advertising.  As a result, even if you’re a novice at “getting the word out” on who or what you are and what goods/services you provide, business owners with a little know how  can use any number of social media sites to make a ripple on a very large, but level playing field.  So to try and compete, like other business startups or marketing managers looking to take control of the marketing reigns, make sure you are registered or have an active profile on many of these sites.

But, the need to automatically adopt all the latest social media trends and master every social media site could possibly hinder your ability to actually grow your business venture and leave you with a sense of social media overload.  You should be primarily focusing on what makes your business venture great instead of scratching your head over how to get your Twitter followers over to your Linkedin profile so your Google Analytics account can monitor how many unique visitors are requesting connections in order to direct them to your WordPress blog to tell users what you think about using FriendFeed to link to your Twitter followers.

If you are like many of the new or well established business owners, entrepreneurs, or marketing professionals and you want to take advantage of what social media has to offer your marketing bottom line, you should treat social media sites like any other tool that you utilize to operate your business.

  • Have a clear goal for what you want that tool to accomplish.
  • Identify the best method for using that tool to accomplish your goal.
  • Monitor the rate success of utilizing the tool.

Just jumping out into the social media world can quickly turn into leaving you overwhelmed and frustrated if you are not prepared.  To avoid social media overload you should map out a plan of action.  That way, you can identify which social media sites work the best for you.  There are tons of sites, resources, and tools related to social media, and a great deal of them can be redundant and thus eliminated from your game plan, only if you have a game plan to start with.  Social Media Today is a good place to start and talk to other social media professionals and get ideals and tools.  As a result of identifying which social media tools work the best, you will be able to easily monitor them via sites like Google Analytics to see if they are in fact, proving you a solid ROI (time is money).

Tip: If there are sites out there you that you don’t use, a good habit is to remove all personal information from the site.

I know it’s tempting to make sure you are registered on every social network.  But if you’re not careful, the need to be everywhere can evolve into an inability to be anywhere.  You should develop a targeted marketing strategy with social media sites to ensure your focus can remain on growing your brand and in turn, growing your business.
